On 26th May 2026, the Chief Minister of West Bengal announced that the new application process for the Annapurna Bhandar Scheme will start from 27th May 2026 (Wednesday). Eligible women can now fill out the application form and submit it along with the required supporting documents.

Eligibility Criteria for Annapurna Bhandar Yojana

Who Is Not Eligible for Annapurna Bhandar?

The following applicants are not eligible for this scheme:

Women below 25 years or above 60 years

Applicants whose voter status is deleted and no appeal form has been submitted
Pension holders
Government employees
Women who file Income Tax Returns (ITR)

How to Fill Annapurna Bhandar Form Correctly

Follow these steps carefully while filling out the form:

Fill in personal details such as:
- Full Name
- Gender
- Father’s Name / Husband’s Name
- Date of Birth
Enter your present and permanent address along with the PIN code.
Provide your Voter ID and Aadhaar Card details.
Fill in your bank account details correctly, including:
- Account Number
- IFSC Code

Important Note

BDO officers will help identify eligible and non-eligible applicants in your area. They can also guide you on how to correctly fill out the form and where to submit it offline.

My Suggestion

I personally suggest applying online because:

Your data will be submitted more accurately.
The chances of successful submission are much higher.
You will instantly receive an application number for future reference.
You can easily check your application status online later.

If you submit the offline physical form at the BDO office (for rural areas) or Municipality office (for urban areas), there may be chances of mistakes, missing documents, or submission issues. Also, you may not receive an application number immediately like the online application process.

Can Deleted Voter ID Holders Apply for Annapurna Bhandar?

Yes. The West Bengal Minister has clearly stated that applicants whose voter status is marked as “Deleted” can still apply if they have already submitted an appeal form. Such applicants may receive scheme benefits until the final verification process is completed and their residency status in West Bengal is confirmed.

Can Under Adjudication Voter ID Holders Apply?

Yes. Applicants whose voter status is “Under Adjudication” can also apply if they have submitted the required appeal form. They may continue to receive benefits under the scheme until the final verification and eligibility checking process is completed.
