Questions about editing PDFs
Is this PDF editor free?
Yes. You can edit and download PDFs without an account, watermark or per-document payment. The practical limits are 25 MB per file, 75 MB combined and 50 pages per session.
Are my PDF files uploaded?
This tool reads and edits your files in your browser. It does not upload your PDFs, signatures or images to a processing server. Free software libraries load from a public CDN. Close or reload the page to clear the editing session.
Can I edit or replace text already in a PDF?
You can find original text, but this version cannot rewrite it. Find / Replace changes text added in the current editing session. Whiteout covers an area visually so you can add text on top; it does not remove the underlying content and must not be used to hide sensitive information.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
You can add text, signatures, images and marks to a scanned page. This editor does not recognise or replace text inside scans and does not include OCR.
Will it work on my phone?
Yes, in a modern mobile browser. Use the scrolling toolbar, tap a page thumbnail and draw a signature with your finger. Fit width makes the page easier to view; higher zoom gives you more precision.
Which PDF forms can I fill?
Common AcroForm text fields and checkboxes are supported. Choose Fill forms to interact with them. Other field types and XFA forms are not editable here. When merging forms from additional PDFs, choose to make their fields permanent before downloading.
Does a drawn signature create a digital certificate?
No. The signature tool adds a visual signature image. It does not create a certificate-based digital signature. Editing a PDF that is already digitally signed can invalidate its signature.
Why will my PDF not open?
Password-protected, damaged or unsupported PDFs may not open. Use an unencrypted copy you are permitted to edit. Large documents may exceed your device’s memory even when they are within the file limits.
