The Palamuru–Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS) is a major dream project which is located on the Krishna River and by its design it can irrigate up to 10 lakh acres of land nearby. This project will be a blessing to the districts of Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, Vikarabad, Ranga Reddy and Nalgonda. 

This major project of PRLIS is also planned to provide drinking water to over 1226 villages and also to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). As per the planning and development of the PRLIS, the estimated cost is said to be around Rs 35,200/- Crore which is around 4.7 billion US $.
