Government of West Bengal launched the West Bengal free bus travelling scheme for women, or Pink Card Scheme, on 1st June 2026. The objective of this scheme is to promote women’s safety, mobility and economic empowerment by waiving bus fares for them while travelling on state buses.

Eligibility Criteria for Pink Card

• The applicant should be a woman.
• The applicant should be a resident of West Bengal.
• As of now, there are no age criteria.

Who Can Apply for a Pink Card?

West Bengal residential women with valid identity proof and address proof documents can apply for a pink card to avail a free bus pass across the state.

How to Apply for Pink Card

• Visit the official website of Government of West Bengal- wb.gov.in
• Click on the Pink Card option on home page
• Create an account using your name and mobile number
• Upload clear digital copies of your Aadhar card, Voter ID card, Photo and other required documents.
• Review the application and click “Submit”
• Transport Department officials will verify your details.
• After approval, the Pink Card will be issued and delivered.

Offline Pink card application process:

• Visit your local BDO office in Panchayat areas and respective municipality office in municipal areas.
• Collect the Pink Card application form form the office desk.
• Fill all required details.
• Attach Passport SizePhotograph self attested xerox copies of your Aadhar card and Voter ID card and your active mobile number.
• Submit the application form in the designated offices for verification.
• After approval collect your Pink Card as per guidelines of officials.
