Yuva shakti scheme is the enhanced version of the Yuva sathi scheme, launched by the newly elected government of west Bengal. The government has announced to provide Rs.3,000/- monthly allowance, means the double amount of Yuva Sathi scheme of Rs.1,500/- to unemployed educated youth of the state, who are currently looking for work. Therefore in this article we are going to discuss about the eligibility Criteria, expected online apply process and other important points related to the Yuva Shakti scheme.

Yuva Shakti Eligibility criteria:-

• Domicili:- West Bengal
• Age:- 21-45
• Qualification:- Minimum Madhyamik pass
• Employment status:- Unemployed
• Montly family income below 1 Lakh.

There are some guidelines by state government for the applicants to meet the eligibility and be the beneficiary. Those are:-

• Permanent residency: The applicant must be a citizen of west Bengal.
• Age: The applicant’s age should be between 21-45 years old.
• Qualification: Applicant’s educational qualification required minimum Madhyamik pass or an equivalent qualification from a recognised board.
• Employment status: it’s an unemployment allowance. So that applicants must not be engaged in a government or private sector job.
• Eligibility exclusion clause:-  Those people who are already getting benifit from any type of government schemes like Annapurna Bhandar ( existing of Laxmi Bhandar) or pension scheme etc, may not be eligible for the Yuva Shakti scheme.
• Family Income: Benificiary monthly family income must be below 1 Lakh.

Start and end date to apply:-

There is no official announcement by the West Bengal government about the starting date of online application as of July, 2026. But as per government’s blueprints and official statement made on press conference, the estimated timeline is as follows :-

Starting date:- The registration of online application is expected to begin from August, 2026. The government has declared that the official portal of Yuva Shakti will be activated once the ongoing Annapurna Bhandar scheme registration stabilize.

Last date:- The government has not declared a last date for the registration. May be the official window keep rolling as the employment status of applicants may change. There is an expectation to the announcement of the last date after releasing of official notification.

How to apply Online:-

At present the official application portal for Yuva Shakti scheme of Rs.3,000/- and Rs.2,000/- is under development. Government has indicated that the new portal will be launched soon.

Here is the expected apply process once the portal will be activated:-

Step-1:- Visit the official website of Yuva Shakti scheme by entering the URL that soon to be launched by the government of west bengal.

Step-2:- Click on ‘apply now’ or ‘online registration’ button on home page.

Step-3:- Put the basic details like name, date of birth, mobile number or email ID to generate OTP.

Step-4:- Fill up the form by entering the details which the form will be asked for.

Step-5:- Upload your scanned documents.

Step-6:- Review the information carefully and recheck the filled form. Then press ‘Submit’.

Step-7:- Download the acknowledgement copy or application ID number for future reference.

Note: For clear and hassle-free trascation, benificiary must link thir adhar with bank account and enable Direct Benifit Tranfer (DBT) as required by the West Bengal Goverment for reciving scheme allowance.

Financial assistance:-

• Transaction process will commence:-  From October,2026 ( As announced in the budget presentation)

Through the Yuva Shakti scheme monthly allowance of Rs 3000/- will be transfer directly to the beneficiary’s bank account. However the finance minister of West Bengal announced during the 2026-27 budget presentation that  the Yuva Shakti scheme will provide financial assistance in two different rates:-

1. 1. Rs.3,000/- monthly allowance for unemployed graduate youth.
2. Rs.2,000/- monthly allowance for unemployed non-graduate youth.
